Christian Korunka leitet den Arbeitsbereich "Arbeits- und Organisationspsychologie" an der Fakultät für Psychologie.
Nach seiner Promotion 1986 hat er begonnen, Veränderungsprozesse in der Arbeitswelt zu untersuchen. In seiner Habilitation (1987) untersuchte er "Rahmenbedingungen der Arbeit mit modernen Informationstechnologien". Schwerpunkte seiner Forschung in den letzten Jahren sind neue Anforderungen in der Arbeitswelt und neue Formen der Arbeit. Ein weiterer Forschungsschwerpunkt besteht in der Untersuchung von psychologischen Aspekten der Unternehmensgründung, von Unternehmenserfolg und von Familienunternehmen.
Christian Korunka war mehrfach Gastprofessor am Department for Industrial Engineering an der University of Wisconsin-Madison. Er hat zahlreiche nationale und internationale Forschungskooperationen. Seine Veröffentlichungen umfassen rund 25 Bücher und Herausgeberwerke, 85 Artikel in Fachzeitschriften, und 80 Beiträge in Herausgeberwerken. Er war an der Organisation von 10 wissenschaftlichen Tagungen beteiligt und hielt ca. 140 Vorträge bei internationalen Konferenzen.
Christian Korunka ist Doktoratsstudienprogrammleiter an der Fakultät für Psychologie und leitet den postgraduellen Universitätslehrgang "Psychotherapeutisches Propädeutikum". Er ist Gesundheitspsychologe, Supervisor und Psychotherapeut.
