Postdoc Award 2023
Die Fakultät für Psychologie freut sich, auch 2023 wieder 3 Postdoc Awards an hervorragende ECR verleihen zu können. Wir gratulieren herzlich:
· Simon van Baal, Institut für Arbeits-, Wirtschafts- und Sozialpsychologie mit “Investigating the General Factor of Impulsivity”.
· Alicja Brzozowska, Institut für Psychologie der Entwicklung und Bildung mit ihrem Projekt “Neural entrainment to biological motion in infancy.”
· Claudia Massaccesi, Institut für Psychologie der Kognition, Emotion und Methoden mit dem Projekt “The role of the opioid system in decision-making”.
Die Verleihung fand im Rahmen der Weihnachtsfeier 2023 statt. Die Entscheidung wurde von einem Panel aus vier Fakultätsmitgliedern getroffen, wobei jedes Institut durch ein unparteiisches Mitglied vertreten war, und erfolgte nach einem strengen Auswahlverfahren. Jedes Jurymitglied bewertete die Bewerbungen unabhängig, und die endgültige Entscheidung wurde in einer gemeinsamen Sitzung getroffen. Herzlichen Dank auch an das Panel!
Ziel der Postdoc Awards ist, die Selbständigkeit und Profilbildung unserer Postdocs in der Anfangsphase ihrer Karriere zu unterstützen. Die Preisträger*innen erhalten die Möglichkeit, ein (ggf. erstes) eigenständiges Projekt zu initiieren und im Rahmen ihrer bestehenden Tätigkeit durchzuführen.

Postdoc Award 2023
The Faculty of Psychology is pleased to present three Postdoctoral Awards to exceptional Early Career Researchers (ECRs) in 2023. We extend our warmest congratulations to the recipients:
· Simon van Baal, Department of Occupational, Economic and Social Psychology with his project “Investigating the General Factor of Impulsivity”.
· Alicja Brzozowska, Department of Developmental and Educational Psychology with her project “Neural entrainment to biological motion in infancy”.
· Claudia Massaccesi, Department of Cognition, Emotion, and Methods in Psychology with “The role of the opioid system in decision-making”.
The award ceremony took place at the 2023 Christmas party. The decision was reached by a panel of four faculty members, with each institute represented by an impartial member, following a rigorous selection process. Each jury member evaluated the applications independently, and the final decision was made in a collective meeting. Many thanks also to the panel!
The aim of the Postdoc Awards is to support the independence and profile development of our postdocs in the early stages of their careers. The awardees will be given the opportunity to initiate and carry out a (possibly first) independent project as part of their existing work.
